Influence of synthesis on composite/laminated starch-gelatine based biopolymer film properties

Biopolymer films have an increasing share in the packaging material sector due to a number of advantages: availability, cheapness, easy processing, degradability, etc. On other hand, numerous methods been developed optimize their unfavorable properties (weaker mechanical characteristics, hydrophilicity, etc.). This paper examines influence synthesis method on starch-gelatin properties. The film was synthesized ratio 1:1 as composite (C). second sample obtained by gelatin lamination starch (L). Plain used control (0). Mechanical, structural and physico-chemical importance for application materials were tested samples. All biopolymer transparent handle. FTIR spectroscopy identified all characteristic groups bonds formed laminated films. results showed significant contribution compared sample. Gelatin incorporated component or separate layer improved water solubility. Slight differences observed between because effect added is minimal without addition gelatin.
